Think Small
Whenever possible, I shopped at a small computer store in the same strip mall as Atomik Pop!. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They would go out of their way to help us out — often under extreme deadlines (when your cash register stops working that’s a major problem). Unfortunately, the shop closed down a few months ago — they presumably went out of business due to competition from online retailers.
Their story is playing out for thousands of other small Oklahoma retailers. Today is Small Business Saturday — as you make your decisions about where to shop and what to buy for the holidays, please consider supporting the many small businesses in your local area. Not only will you get some great gifts, but you’ll keep tax dollars in Oklahoma and may help prevent another casualty like our local computer store.
Finally, I’d like to say “Thank You” to our many wonderful customers. Joey and I greatly appreciate your taking time from your busy day to stop by Atomik Pop!.
